      Excellent patrol glove

I paid a dollar for each year I've ski patrolled (full-time professional) for these gloves and they're my go-to glove for daily ops. They're warm, durable, plenty dexterous for all of our outdoor duties. I strongly recommend them.

      Good for warmish days

These are going to be my go-to for warmish days - I have chronically cold hands and am standing around a lot as a kids' ski coach. For me, these are not warm enough for a typical day where max temp is in the 30s. I have fairly thin, long hands and fingers, so they feel a bit wide - but still fairly nimble. Very happy with the value and quality!

      Great gloves

Super happy with these. Using them for Ski Patrol work. Warm, comfortable and the size guide was super helpful to get the right fit. Only had them for a few weeks of work so far but they're pretty durable so far!

Why are they not hand shaped?

I also have some pairs of Hestra gloves. They are shaped like a hand and therefore don't wrinkle like crazy on the palm when I grab things. These gloves have perfectly straight fingers...Why? They make it way harder to grip things, and are much less comfortable to wear and grab my poles and other things.

I have no doubt that the gloves will be durable, and hopefully they'll break in eventually, but the shape of these is about what you'd expect for a cheap pair of gloves.

Feels like a trivial issue, but when you're doing 5 days a week on snow adjusting bindings, drilling holes, tying knots, and holding poles, being comfortable and being able to manipulate things without taking off your gloves as much makes a weirdly big difference. Kinda feels like I'm complaining about nothing, but I notice it all day every day...

      Hey Coach H,
thanks for the feedback. I'm sorry your experience has not been good. I have gone ahead and refunded you for the M1. Hate to see folks have such a poor experience.

As for the specifics, you are correct. The M1 does not have a patterned pre-curve to it. This is literally our first model of glove that we released nearly 10yrs ago. It's a base level glove. Not meant to have all of the perfect features that maybe you find in more expensive gloves. That being said, we dont advertise it as having precurve. The photos online certainly don't show any precurve. Not all gloves by any brand come with precurve. Some do. Some dont. As a store front, we try to offer our customers as much information about the product as possilbe. So im sorry you were surprised to find that the glove was not a shape that you prefer. But, I'm fairly confident the information on the product page is very representative of what arrives. Nothing more. Nothing less.

You obviously prefer a different shape glove. 1000% fair. I've come to learn that no matter how good a glove is, not everyone will agree. And to clarify, this glove has sold to thousands of hands that absolutely love it. So, as for tracking data points and making changes to critical features of a product, this outlier data point simply reinforces that not everyone agrees on what's good -- but not a data point that will have me redesign it. If Hestra has a glove with perfect precurve that suits your needs, then the free market would suggest they should get your business. they make nice product to be certain.

As for your future with the now-free pair of M1s, please keep using them. They're really not all that bad. Use them for tasks wehre you maybe wont notice how imperfect they are for you. Dog toy? Your choice.

      Enjoy.

      Perfect Glove

I work at a ski hill and these gloves are perfect for bumping chairs, putting up fencing, shoveling snow, riding snowmobile, and setting up sine-age. They are durable and comfortable. I got a size in between dexterity and warmth and they fit perfectly. Highly recommend these gloves!
